Parisian drugstore – Casino and L’Oréal are teaming up
One of the leading French grocery group, Casino and the beauty retailer L’Oréal are launching a new concept store designed for urban lifestyle: “the Parisian drugstore”. They will offer in this new concept store sewing kits, accessories, healthy snacks or beauty products being at the crossroad between well-being and beauty. Several L’Oréal brands will be present (L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, NYX Professional Makeup, Essie, Sanoflore etc.), as well as exclusive and expert brands. Two first drugstores have just opened on June 23rd in Paris at 66, rue de la Chaussee d’Antin and 122, rue du Bac.

Outiz – DIY stores in city center
Outiz stores also named counters (or “comptoirs” in French) have been founded on a hybrid and omni-channel model. The stores are designed to make customer’s life easier, whether they are private indivuduals or professionals. Outiz counters embody the collection point, the DIY store as well as a platform for distance selling. Customers can purchase products directly (each counter has a stock of more than 5,000 references), collect online orders or placed over the phone, order in-store to be delivered to another address in 24 hours.
Orders can also be delivered in one of the Outiz counters in less than 12 hours (if placed before 11 am, the next morning if the order is placed in the afternoon). The concept allows to start an order on the web, validate by phone and remove it in the counter thanks to one omnichannel platform. On its website, Outiz offers more than 20,000 references of tools and DIY equipment.
B&Q is starting to come closer to the city centers in the UK…Outiz started to open city counters several years ago and keep expanding in Paris. They based their business model on proximity, convenience and speed.

Undiz machine – a unique store experience
With 3906 point of sales worldwide and a global retail sales of 1.3bn euros, Etam group is a leading fashion and lingerie retailer. One of this brands, Undiz, has inaugurated in July 2015 a new and original concept. Indeed the shop Undiz Machine offers underpants, bra and other underwear in capsules. How does it work? The consumer orders from tactile digital screens in store and products arrive directly via a transparent tubes thanks to air pressure. But that’s not all! The Paris boutique offers the Click-&-Capsule. Customers can place their order via their smartphone. Once in the store, the point of sale recognises the customer and immediately delivers the capsule.
