Our story
B.D.C. (Business Development Consultants) was founded in 2009 by Jérôme Gayet (1970-2019), who had worked 15 years in the retail sector, in France and abroad. Jérôme Gayet is an entrepreneur, teacher, coach and even author, whose ambition was to help retailers taking the digital shift. He has indeed, during his career, felt how much digital would transform retail and the consumers’ habits, forcing companies to change if they want to stay in the game.
Jérôme is also convinced that retailers need to rely on innovative startups to accelerate their transformation process. Thanks to his high knowledge of the market and his numerous meetings with startups, Jérôme was able to advise at best its clients and eventually accompany startups as well, in their strategies and  international development.
The success of this model, as well as the powerful ecosystem build, allowed B.D.C. to develop quickly. B.D.C. is now based in Lille, France, employs 10 people, has an office in London and soon in New-York and operates in thirty countries (China, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Brasil …)


Corporate social responsibility

B.D.C. wants to participate to projects which contribute to building a more respectful society. By distributing 1% of its revenues every year to charities, the team supports initiatives they believe in.
