Mobile UI/UX will take precedence over desktop
UK is the first Retail and Ecommerce market in Europe and the ‘’Mobile-first’’ trend will keep growing in 2017.
Looking at the steep growth on mobile sales (over 48% since 2015 – 51% of sales made on mobile during Black Friday 2016), it makes no doubt that mobile UI/UX design and upgrades need to be completed before desktop in 2017.
The growing importance of mobile marketing and apps had been significant in 2016:
- More than 50% of searches are on mobile
- 91% of Facebook usage (Daily Active users) is on mobile
- 80% of Facebook advertising revenue is on mobile
- 90% of mobile media time is spent in apps
More than ever, consumers want a one-touch checkout. Retailers will have to make mobile experience seamless and easy to navigate and purchase for the customer and there is no doubt conversions will increase instantly.
