CONNECTED DAY, the new must-attend retail event in France

After the success of its first edition last year, the high-level event has brought together the best retail experts with the most innovative startups and solutions during an entire day of networking and conferences.


A must-attend event for the retail industry


The Connected Commerce Institute (or “Institut du Commerce Connecté”, I.C.C.) successfully organised the second edition of the Connected Day on November 29. The event was dedicated to digital retail, packed with 1-to-1 meetings, keynotes and themed panel discussions including best in class retail technology partners and innovative startups. It welcomed over 800 persons including retail decision-makers and startups, with more than 250 1-to-1 meetings that took place along the day, along with many additional networking opportunities.

1-to-1 meetings between startups and retailers


Six thematic conferences punctuated the day, addressing key topics for retailers: the transformation of traditional retailers into agile businesses, how technologies will impact tomorrow’s retail, or the world of disruption, among others. Some of the biggest French retailers were present, such as La Redoute, Monoprix, CDiscount, as well as giant tech leaders like Facebook, Microsoft or Salesforce. Many British retailers were speakers as well during some of the conferences: Ocado, Feelunique, Decathlon UK,

The ICC Startup awards


In addition to the networking events and conferences, the Connected Day culminated in the fourth edition of the ICC Startup Awards, which rewarded five startups out of the eight selected (among over 70 candidates at the beginning). The jury composed of 25 influential experts in the retail industry has awarded:

  • as the “startup of the year 2018”,
  • Wynd as the “most promising startup worldwide”,
  • Beamy as the “public favourite” startup,
  • and Stockly received both the “young startup” award for startups created less than 2 years ago.

This day was a unique occasion for retailers and startups to gather and meet with each other. Retailers could discover the latest innovations and share insights on the future of retail. Meanwhile, startups could present their solutions on their booth and during 1-to-1 meetings, and the eight selected startups had the chance to pitch in front of an audience of decision-makers.
